An holistic Brand design approach for the scale-up Tibo Energy
In mid-2023, Remco approached me with a request to assist their startup in creating a brand identity. The energy market is a lucrative and rapidly evolving sector, with a focus on renewable energy. Tibo Energy offers a digital Energy Management System (EMS) that enables governments, cities, and businesses to seamlessly synchronize their energy components. Utilizing cutting-edge technology, Tibo Energy’s system allows these entities to simulate their energy situation, not only for the present but also for the future. This empowers businesses to make strategic energy decisions today in preparation for tomorrow.
Stacking blocks
Tibo Energy’s software enables companies to literally piece together, test, and implement their specific energy puzzle using blocks. Each block in the system represents an energy input or output that can be interconnected in various combinations.
While sketching the logo, I came up with the idea of incorporating different rectangular and square shapes to symbolize the puzzle-solving aspect of the EMS system. Ultimately, these shapes form the logo icon and serve as the foundation for Tibo Energy’s branding.
Modular conference booth setup
Together with the Tibo Energy team, we devised an attractive modular conference setup with limited resources. The booth features a minimalist, modern, yet homely look that emphasizes Tibo Energy’s green character. Within this space, Tibo Energy staff are on hand to answer any questions, and potential customers can attend live demos of their EMS software.

One of the key assets in this exercise was creating a website. As a startup, it’s crucial that your story is communicated as clearly as possible to the outside world through every available avenue. Nowadays, having a website is indispensable for engaging with customers. Additionally, the new branding seamlessly translates into an online environment, where the rectangular and square design elements immediately catch the eye. Alongside an intensive LinkedIn campaign, these two channels ensure that Tibo Energy’s story is consistently broadcast to the wider world.
