Supervers (re)Branding

Online shopping at local fresh food stores.

In 2021, Rob came up with a “Super” new idea: to explore the possibility of ordering fresh products from your local food store(s) online and having them delivered to your door within 24 hours. I must confess that initially, I was skeptical about the entire concept. However, Rob, Jan, and Christopher were enthusiastic about the idea, and after a few exploratory discussions, I agreed to assist with establishing their brand identity for this startup project.

The design process

When creating a logo (icon) for Supervers, I wanted to incorporate the letter ‘S’. This led me to the idea of drawing a piece of round fruit sliced in half. We decided to omit the direct reference to the fruit in the logo because Supervers encompasses more than just fruits or vegetables. It’s like opening a fresh box from which the fresh products pop out.

Custom illustrations

To enhance the narrative of Supervers in specific contexts, we’ve crafted a bespoke illustration style. This allows us to elucidate actions and situations, or offer further clarification where needed. The selected illustration style aligns with the brand identity of Supervers.be, characterized by its light-hearted, whimsical approach with a touch of playfulness, perfectly reflecting the vibrant essence of Supervers.be.

Integrated Web- & UI Design

One of the most significant touchpoints for Supervers.be is undoubtedly their web platform, where customers can conveniently do their shopping.

The primary objective of this website is to facilitate the effortless discovery and purchase of products. Additional functionalities, such as list management, were incorporated in later stages. We have effectively translated the overarching graphic design elements from the branding to the online platform, ensuring a cohesive and enjoyable experience for the end customer throughout.

It was imperative that the website provide a seamless experience on mobile devices, given research indicating that the majority of orders were placed via mobile.
